Blessed to be a Blessing (The Donkey)

Pastor Brian Goke discusses an often overlooked detail in the familiar account of Jesus arriving in Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. In choosing to ride on a particular animal (a donkey which no one had ever ridden), Jesus tied together numerous Old Testament references and proclaimed his identity and intentions in a way that could be recognized by those present. Jesus announced that the awaited Messiah had arrived and was bringing peace. While there is judgement in disobedience, Jesus proclaimed his ultimate sacrifice that prevents the need for blood sacrifice from the rest of us!
