Blessed to be a Blessing (Cornelius)

Synopsis

Pastor Chris Townsend explores civic gifts of named and unnamed Centurions (Roman citizens, generally chosen for size, strength, and ability to lead men into battle). At great professional and personal risk, the Centurion Cornelius believed in God, prayed, and utilized his position to give generously to those in need. The sovereignty of God is evident in Peter’s sharing of the gospel with Cornelius and the baptism of him and his household. This marks a turning point in the invitation for gentiles to know Jesus Christ. We can have clarity today about God’s intention for his church to be one for ALL who believe in Jesus and call him Lord!
