The Bible from 35,000 Feet – 2 Corinthians

Pastor Brian Goke discusses Paul’s encouragement for the church at Corinth to continue in their extraordinary generosity. Giving lavishly is God’s plan for God’s people. When we consider the source, we see that every good gift comes from God. Generosity is in his character. Jesus taught, healed, loved, and fed others generously. There is joy in generous giving! As Liturgical Lutheran Christians, practicing generosity is part of our liturgy (work of the people) along with praising God, confessing, reconciling to one another, wrestling with the application of his word, etc. When we give generously, we experience exponential blessings!
