The Bible from 35,000 Feet – Ezekiel / Baptism

Pastor Brian Goke warns that exile is the default human condition because sin separates us from God. Yet, God gives an underserved, holy gift – the sacrament of Baptism. God summons us through the waters of Baptism and we don’t bring anything except our sinful selves. God often uses water to bring about cleansing, washing, and rescue of his people. In the same way, he soaks us in Baptismal water. God surrounds us with community so we can live into the covenant promises, come alongside one another, and bear witness to Jesus Christ. In the waters of Baptism, God commissions us to serve and make Jesus known. He provides everything we need to be sent into the world. Let’s celebrate this sacred gift from God and live wet!
