Pastor Brian Goke asserts that God’s law provides clear boundaries for healthy relationship with God and healthy relationships with one another. The ceremonial and dietary laws, intended to distinguish God’s people from pagans, are no longer binding. The moral law, however, continues to reflect the character and essence of God – truth, faithfulness, and life. The law serves as a mirror for us, reflecting our sin. It cannot fix us and it is impossible for us to fix ourselves. Jesus’ life and sacrifice on the cross is the ONLY solution. Once justified by accepting his free gift, we should lean into the lifelong process of sanctification, inviting God to make us holier and more righteous!
