Pastor Brian Goke discusses the early church’s efforts in growing disciples, planting churches, and pouring into the next generation of Jesus followers. Paul built mentoring relationships with several young disciples. He encouraged Timothy as he served the challenging church at Ephesus; reminding him that ministry is about serving God. Theological correction was necessary as the church there was veering off course. Paul invited Timothy to live as an example for others and obediently use gifts he’d been given. Likewise, as faithful followers of Jesus, we’re invited to match our actions with our words. Let’s partner with the Holy Spirit to put our gifts into practice for God’s glory!
