Jim Pitzer has learned much about people through observing how they view and use money. As the Luke 12 parable teaches, it does no good to store up money for ourselves. No earthly treasure will last and anything we place as central in our lives has potential to become a burdensome idol. Jesus instructed about money because he’s interested in the condition of our hearts. There are only 2 things to do with our treasure; send it ahead or leave it behind. There is connection between our Spiritual lives and our approach to money. By giving God the “first dime”, we practice putting God first in all things!
