Acts 5:1-11

Pastor Brian Goke describes the rapid growth of the remarkably unified, generous, early church. God’s jarring response to the internal threat of sin within the church, recorded in Acts 5, isn’t about the salvation of the individuals involved. Rather it is about the purity (health and well-being) of the church. Sin always breaks relationship among people and between people and God. We can’t talk about the grace of Jesus without first addressing sin. God purifies the church and us so that we can face an unbelieving world as more effective witnesses.
