1 Corinthians 10 – Renovaré

Pastor Brian Goke discusses temptation and Paul’s advice for dealing with it in his first letter to the Jewish and Gentile Christians in Corinth. Satan, who comes to kill and steal and destroy is the source of temptation – an attempt to pull us away from God. Through the course of temptation, Satan distorts our desires and seeks to deceive us. When decisions develop into sin, it leads to death. Resources for battling temptation include running away and toward Jesus; studying and discussing God’s word; and filling our time with good things of God that honor him! God wants us to flourish in healthy relationship with him and one another.
