Synopsis

Pastor Brian Goke discusses the repetition in Acts 11 of Peter’s experience with the Holy Spirit. Repetition in God’s word indicates importance; it is like bold font, underlines, or italics. When the Holy Spirit fell on Gentiles, it was an event of importance that marked a new season. Many of us are in a new season as is our church community. In a new season, like Peter, we should find our people to grow with in Jesus; discover our story with Jesus and tell others; and anchor our days in Jesus. In him and his word, we find peace and can confidently say, ‘Then I remembered what Jesus said’!
