Acts 4:1-22

Jeff Pitzer contrasts disciple Peter’s actions recorded in the gospels with the changed apostle Peter’s boldness recorded in Acts 4. While we are beggars who need his healing, God wants to grow us into apostles who share his healing. Peter was changed through his encounters with the resurrected Jesus and the continuous filling of the Holy Spirit. Similarly, through daily time in Jesus’ presence, he can redeem and shape our identity and purpose. The continuous filling of the Holy Spirit will lead to overflow into the community around us.
