Jim Pitzer shared that while for us the Resurrection is our source of hope and joy, that is not the case for everyone. The chief priests, Pharisees, and Pilate made arrangements to contain Jesus’ power by securing a stone in front of the tomb. Throughout history, stones in the name of religion, philosophy, economics, sociology, psychology, science… have been rolled in vain attempts to limit the power and reach of Jesus. And yet, Jesus lives and there is no stone that he cannot move! Is there a stone that you have rolled in an attempt to confine Jesus?
