Pastor Brian Goke exhorts us to carefully examine a succession of Jesus’ parables recorded in Luke 15. Sometimes it becomes difficult to recognize ourselves or the lessons we should learn from familiar passages of scripture. There are so many ways in which each of us strays from God. We can be lost by distraction, ignorance, or rebellion. We can even become lost by religion, beginning to think that we can add to our own salvation in some way. Jesus’ work on the cross is everything and the only thing! Let’s respond to God’s free gift of grace and his invitation to play a role in finding others with love, perseverance, and prayer!
