Pastor Brian explains the difference between God’s objective Truth and mankind’s opinions about truth for how to best live in relationship. God’s law, rooted in love, is an invitation to move from chaos toward order. Before God provided the Mosaic Covenant law, He asked Moses to remind the Israelites who they used to be and how God had rescued and cared for them. God’s rescue always comes before the rules! We now have the Messianic Covenant. And yet, obediently studying the law through the lens of Jesus’ teachings and living into it still produces flourishing relationship with God and one another.
