The Bible from 35,000 Feet – 7

Synopsis

Pastor Brian Goke suggests that through Leviticus we can learn valuable lessons in “falling well”. The Book addresses the question of how Moses and the Israelites (and each of us), as bruised people with spiritual skinned knees, can meet with the holy God. God rescues. God provides rules since God’s people are called to be set apart from the common culture. Humans break those rules and sin. Sin causes damage and death that must be dealt with. God mercifully and faithfully promises restoration. Understanding the themes of Leviticus can help us to more fully understand the gravity of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice on the cross!
