Jim Pitzer describes rewards and blessings of spending time with Old Testament prophets. Ezekiel’s prophecies included pronouncement of sin, judgement, and God’s restoration of the Covenant relationship with his people. Throughout history we’ve been prone to make God over into our image. In 593 BC, God gave Ezekiel visions to communicate that God is who he is whether we like, believe, accept it or not. God is who he is and he is not like us! He doesn’t think, act, or react like us. God does not just possess holiness and righteousness he is holiness and righteousness! We can only truly worship when our hearts are filled with reverence and awe!
