The Gospel of John 14:1-24

Pastor Brian shares that John 14 contains an overview of God’s pursuit of relationship with his creation recorded throughout the entire Bible. We break the relationship. Satan, the voice of condemnation, makes us believe we are “unfit for use”. God continues to pursue restoration so that he might dwell among us. He provides us with the way to be together for eternity – Jesus. God seeks us, unholy as we are, then the Holy Spirit begins clean up (sanctification). Analogous to a house that needs to be flipped, we are bought at a price even while our insides are a mess. While there may be a few neat personal belongings in there, everything is stripped down to the studs and rebuilt. This work of sanctification won’t be complete until Jesus returns or leads us home. Our part is to remain obedient to God’s word!
