The Gospel of John 18:28-19:16

Jim Pitzer discusses the interactions between Jesus and Pilate. Variations of Pilate’s question, “what is truth”, have been asked throughout history and is still asked today. When considering the question, it is important to note that truth is discovered (not invented), transcultural, timeless, not dependent on attitudes, and is absolute. Pilate directed the crowd to choose for themselves and this is the same choice we each must make. Will we choose lies or truth? Truth is not “what”, but “who”! The Bible is the story of God seeking and finding the lost. Truth, through amazing grace, seeks and finds us!
