Palm Sunday 2024

Pastor Lori Bultemeier describes the misguided desires of the crowd at Capernaum and later outside Jerusalem. They wanted a king of their own design to save and feed them and be on their side. Instead, Jesus came with far greater purpose – to forgive repented sin and be their bread, so that they could be on his side. Do we have similar desires instead of a willingness to be humble, obedient, and suffer when necessary, so that Christ can truly rule our hearts? Do we too often seek his hand(outs) instead of seeking his face? Let’s wave our palm branches in worship as we look ahead to Christ’s return, in final victory, riding on a horse! King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Glory to God in the highest!
