1 John 4 – Renovaré

Pastor Brian Goke challenges us with John’s letter that provided the early church with guidance for how to love others well. God is the source and very essence of love. Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love for us. Throughout the gospels are accounts of Jesus listening, caring for, loving, and then inviting people to live differently. When we know God and not just know about him, we experience his overwhelming love and grace. We can then follow Jesus’ example, and focus on the hearts of others. Our witness to them is the way in which we demonstrate love. Let’s receive God’s love and be the “go-to” people for believers and non-believers around us!
