Pastor Brian Goke and Cru/Agape+ Missionary Lindsay discuss that a call to follow the Lord is a call to action and compassion. In Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, he clarified the unique responsibility of Christian citizens to engage and serve in the world while pointing to Jesus. A tangible way to share the gospel with people in difficult circumstances is to meet physical needs first and then seek wholistic restoration of relationship with community and God. In our new church home, we may need to be uncomfortable in order to serve people in our proximity. To effectively share hope in Jesus, we’ll need to provide a reliable presence and build genuine relationships!
